In the back of a Sydney garage, childhood friends, Roby Sharon-Zipser & David Vitek create Home Improvement Pages, an online tradie directory.
2011
Home Improvement Pages becomes hipages, the leading online marketplace for homeowners to connect directly with local tradies.
2013
We launched the hipages mobile app, and it’s designed to make it even more convenient for Aussie homeowners to discover and hire trusted tradies while on the move.
2016
News Corp becomes an investor in hipages Group.
2017
We move to our new state-of-the-art office in the heart of Sydney CBD.
2018
We surpass 5 million jobs posted on the hipages platform, helping local, trusted tradies grow their business.
2019
The NSW Department of Education partnered with hipages to make it easier for tradies to access maintenance jobs at NSW public schools with our ‘Local Trades Scheme’.
We continue to transform our business, moving from our Pay Per Lead model to a tradie subscription business.
2020
Over 7 million jobs have been posted on the hipages platform by Aussie homeowners.
hipages Group (HPG) successfully enters the Australian Stock Exchange from the 12th of November.
2021
We launch Tradiecore, a job management platform making it easier than ever for tradies to manage their business on the go.
We invest in leading property management platform, Bricks + Agent.
We acquire New Zealand’s leading tradies marketplace, Builderscrack and become the Trans-Tasman leader for connecting homeowners with trade services.

General and Administration Team & Legal
The legal team helps to support the growth of hipages and build trust for tradies and consumers. We work with all departments across the business to help deliver strategic initiatives, to support our tradies and consumers and to ensure that hipages complies with all its legal and regulatory obligations. We also proactively look forward on areas like data privacy and sustainability that help build trust through our tradie ecosystem and with our shareholders.
The General & Administration (G&A) team, led by our CEO Roby Sharon-Zipser, plays a pivotal role in the efficient functioning of hipages. We manage critical administrative tasks, facilitate executive decision-making and maintain a streamlined workflow. From strategic planning and coordination to providing high-level administrative support, the G&A team serves as the backbone of hipages, enabling our leadership to focus on driving growth and innovation.
